Wine Advocate 93 points - Readers will find a full, head-on expression of Terrano in the 1991 Terranum, a wine that has only been released recently. Dark fruit, grilled herbs, licorice and earthiness flow from this mid-weight yet totally intense red. The wine shows terrific richness and persistence. The variety’s high acidity and aggressive tannins are impossible to fully domesticate, but this is about as good as it gets. It is amazing to consider Kante made a wine of this level nearly twenty years ago! The 1991 has at least another ten years of fine drinking ahead of it, maybe more. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2021.
