Wine Spectator 90 points - Pure cherry, currant and earth notes mingle in this medium-bodied red. Lively, ending with firm tannins and fine length. Needs some time to come together. Best from 2016 through 2025. 150 cases imported. -BS  (Apr 30 2014)

Vinous 89 points - Bright, deep red. Spicy red fruit aromas lifted by smoky minerality and flowers. Rich, fleshy and tactile but with a calcaire firmness to the ripe flavors of maraschino cherry, marzipan and licorice. Silky in texture for a wine from this vineyard but without any easy sweetness. In fact, this is distinctly backward and a bit dry on the end, with serious tannins calling for patience. 89-91 Points  (Jan 2013)

Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2011 Beaune 1er Cru Teurons, like the Greves, feels a little muffled upon first opening, although it gains more delineation with aeration. The palate is better with lifted, slightly tinny raspberry and strawberry fruit. There is a pleasing weight in the mouth with a pleasant acidic bite on the finish, although it does not achieve much in the way of complexity for such a propitious Beaune premier cru. Drink 2014-2019. (Oct 2013)

Mademoiselle Francoise Choppin delivered the property control over to Geoffrey (her nephew) and his wife Marie-Odile Choppin during the 1999 harvest and they have had full control since the 2000 vintage. With much diligent and hard work the estate has surged in quality from an already high level. This estate is widely considered one the finest red wine estates in Beaune. It is often the last estate to harvest demanding perfectly ripe skins and implements a severe green harvest every vintage. In 2000 the estate purchased a vibrating sorting table for an even stricter triage of the fruit that will be used. The estate now uses a pneumatic press and conducts a 3-4 day cold maceration prior to a 15-18 day fermentation in wooden vats. All of the vineyards owned are Premier Crus and include Aigrot, Bressandes, Cent Vignes, Toussaints, Teurons, Marconnets and Savigny Les Beaune Vergelesses La Bataillere.
