Wine Enthusiast 89 points - The perfume develops slowly before blossoming into an enticingly exotic, bergamot-flavored wine. Acidity keeps it fresh but it does end up with a slighty confectionery finish. Glass stopper. (Sep 2013)

Wine maker notes
The quality of a wine is not only determined by careful processing. It is also a matter of the combination of site, soil and climate as well as the variety grown there. Our wines reflect the centuries-old experience in combining these factors to the optimum extent. We know our sites, and we know what we can demand from each of them. Our six single-vineyard sites in terms of climate are ideally located on altitudes between 360 and 500 meters above sea level.
Our history starts in 1770, thus already involved in winemaking for 240 years. And we have always remained a family enterprise, because it is fundamental to our self-conception and our tradition: It gives us the freedom to create our wines just as we want them to be, apart from any fashion: pure, elegant, timeless.
Our most important assets are the soils from which our wine draws its vigor. On six challenging single-vineyard sites, mostly very old and deeply rooted vines thrive, each of which has its own pedigree well known to us. Our wine is exclusively produced from fruit that is sourced from our own vineyards.
Our credo is timelessness. We consider winemaking to be an annual metamorphosis: The grapevines grow up from earth, stones, minerals. Vines and grapes flourish under the sun, wind and rain. From these, our wines are finally crafted by hand.
