Emu site produces distinctive spicy ethereal Pinot with obvious but gentle tannin. Perfumed, red fruits, briar, cedar, serious and irreverent.
Wine Advocate 90 points - Pale ruby colored with a slight purple hue, the 2010 Emu Vineyard Pinot Noir is intensely perfumed with notes of wild strawberries, red cherries and lilacs with hints of underbrush, bacon and allspice. Light to medium-bodied, it gives a good amount of tightly knit, youthful red berry flavors with very crisp acid and a low to medium level of chewy tannins to support, finishing long. Approachable now, drink it to 2016+. (Jun 2012)
