Extra Elegance is a true cascade of flavors: its complex, smooth texture has notes of dried violet, pastries, tobacco, leather and walnut, culminating in a pure velvet finish.
Extra Elegance is an exceptional blend of eaux-de-vie primarily from the Borderies, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, all selected for their superb aging potential, richness and complementarity.
The Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie offer excellent length on the palate, those from Petite Champagne provide structure and the Borderies contribute a velvety texture and hints of sweet pastries. A long aging in cool, damp cellars allows Extra Elegance to reveal its full quality: exceptional roundness, intense flavors, great finesse and a remarkably complex finish.
This blend produces a Cognac which is as rich as it is sophisticated, and which will delight the most passionate and demanding of connoisseurs.
|A true showcase for this exceptional Cognac, the Extra Elegance carafe was developed by Cyril CAMUS in order to create a sleek design that would showcase the cognac it protects.
The work undertaken by the whole team was recognized in 2007 with a Pentaward, a prestigious prize awarded to the most remarkable packaging designs. As well as the bottle shape, the modern materials chosen such as the brushed steel of the stopper and neck make this an absolutely timeless carafe.
Extra Elegance has clearly made a mark on Maison CAMUS and is a bold witness to our ‘living traditioní.
|Deeply attached to their Cognac land, the five generations of CAMUS family have succeeded in faithfully preserving the brandís original values. This process of handing down from father to son now ensures the continuity and development of a unique expertise, with the cornerstones remaining the soil, the vine and the grape.
As well as a love and respect for the fruit of the land, the CAMUS culture is based on innovation and the quest for exceptional aromatic qualities Ė for above and beyond their role as businessmen the CAMUSís see themselves as winegrowers, explorers and passionate lovers of taste.
The fact that the CAMUS family home le Plessis lies at the heart of the highly sought-after Borderies cru is proof of this special attachment to the Cognac region. The CAMUS family is today the largest landowner in the Cognac Borderies appellation.
This specific character is down to the vision of Jean-Paul CAMUS, who identified the taste potential of the regionís different terroirs at a very early stage. Guided more by his own intuition than by passing trends, he chose to develop the generally overlooked Cognac cru of Borderies and allow its flavors to shine across the world.
