This icewine is made from Gruner Veltliner and Welschriesling. It is made traditionally by allowing the grapes to freeze on the vine. The water in the grapes is frozen so that when they’re pressed the runoff is very concentrated and thus very sweet.
| Food pairing |
| Icewine is a classic combination to puddings, traditional sweet Salzburg “Nockerl” dumplings, and other Austrian desserts. Also great with bleu cheese, foie gras, or a fine cigar. |

the winegrowing
enjoying the special microclimate of the sun drenched seewinkel area, fruitful, fresh white and dense, robust red wines flourish. the adjoining lake neusiedl and numerous small marshes of the area serve as heat reservoirs, providing ample amounts of air moisture. sonsequently the ideal conditions for the cultivation of the coveted "noble rot" (botrytis) are set, allowing for the vinificatoin of high-class sweet wines. |
