This icewine is made from Gruner Veltliner and Welschriesling. It is made traditionally by allowing the grapes to freeze on the vine. The water in the grapes is frozen so that when they’re pressed the runoff is very concentrated and thus very sweet.

Food pairing

Icewine is a classic combination to puddings, traditional sweet Salzburg “Nockerl” dumplings, and other Austrian desserts. Also great with bleu cheese, foie gras, or a fine cigar.
