Tariquet’s rose will accompany a starter or main course with ease. A beautiful shade of pomegranate red, with an exquisite, subtle and intense bouquet, this rich, full-bodied wine is fresh on the palate. Mild spicy notes lead to a delightful duo of wild raspberry and flower petals.
The fruit is a treat as the wine’s intensity retains an ethereal quality, leaving a trace of rich flavors and salty spiciness on the finish. This is a rose made from red grapes, using the same vinification process as for white wine. Serve it chilled, before or during a meal. It is excellent with tapas, summer dishes, Italian food, or spicy, exotic cuisine.
Producer
Since 1912 Chateau du Tariquet has been home to the Grassa family. They first gained notoriety for Helene and Pierre Grassa’s Armagnac, which is still produced today. In the 1980’s their children, Maite and Yves, broke all the rules by producing their first still wines, a blend of Ugni Blanc and Colombard. A few years later, they heavily planted and created untraditional blends such as Sauvignon-Chardonnay and Chenin-Chardonnay and word of mouth is how the Tariquet taste and fashion was born!
