A finely tuned, structured red that offers nuanced notes of black fruit, mocha, tobacco and paprika. Notes of oak and vanilla are nicely integrated with rounded tannins and fresh acidity. The silken texture of the wine floats through to the long and persistent finish.

Robert Goyette was one of the pioneers in the 1970s who focused on small lot California wine production. In 1979, he co-founded the boutique winery La Crema and later served as the winemaker for Benzinger. Bob sources premium grapes from superior appellations throughout California. A New Englander with French heritage, Bob employs a traditional approach to winemaking to create superior wines of great value. Today he leads the winemaking team at Stephen Vincent Wines and also oversees the daily management of the corporation. In January 2013, The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition awarded a Gold Medal for the 2010 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon and a Double Gold Medal for the 2011 Sonoma County Pinot Noir. This highly regarded wine competition is conducted in a double-blind format.
