Vinous 89 points - Good dark red. Classic merlot aromas and flavors of plum, redcurrant, mocha, tobacco leaf and chocolate; distinctly herbal in an Old World way. Supple and fine-grained in the mouth, with good subtle flavor intensity. Harmonious acidity combines with ripe tannins to buffer the wine’s moderate sweetness and give it a solid structure for further evolution in bottle.
Wine Advocate 90 points - The 2010 Merlot is aged for 14 months in 300-liter French oak barrels, of which 30% are new. It has a luscious bouquet of dark plum, Valrohna chocolate and a dash of spice. The palate is full-bodied with rounded dark cherry and blackberry fruit. The acidity is in tune with the fruit lending the finish surprising grace and elegant. What a lovely Merlot! Drink now-2015.
