The Benvolio Rosso vineyard sites are located in the
province of Siena between the communes of Berardenga
and San Gusme. The fruit is sourced from 63 blocks planted on a wide range of soil types. From alluvial and clay, to sand and Galestro (Tuscan word for decomposed sandstone). The grapes are cold soaked for 2-3 days for optimal color and flavor extraction, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in neutral French barriques for 10 months.
There is no place on Earth that cherishes the inseparable relationship between food and wine like Italy. So it was only natural we rise to the challenge of sourcing wines that reflect our unique, authentic terroir while possessing outstanding food-pairing ability. Benvolio means ”well-wisher” in Italian. As such, it is our wish that you enjoy the unmistakable flavors our winemakers have selected for you.
