A rich and luscious sherry that features sweet aromas and flavors of raisings, dark caramel, coffee, baked apples and dark chocolate. Powerful and smooth the finish ends of notes of sweet dried fruit and candied citrus.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Dark and toasty, with steeped date, prune and coffee notes lined with charred juniper, anise and rye details. The frankly sweet finish lets a raisin edge hang. A touch short on clarity in the end. Drink now. 2,500 cases made. –JM  (Jun 15 2013)

Bodegas Dios Baco was founded in 1765 by the Vergara family and a British firm. In the early 20th century, Sr. Juan Vergara partnered with Sr. Juan Palomino to form the conglomerate, "Los Doce Disciples,” or the Twelve Disciples. The principal cellar amongst the original twelve was Bodegas Dios Baco. In 1992, the Paez Morilla family bought the property and began extensive renovations in the cellar and the vineyards. Currently managed by Jose Paez Morilla, his mission is to produce handcrafted, small-production lots of traditionally made Fino, Manzanilla, Amontillado, Oloroso, Cream and Pedro Ximenez.
Technical notes
After fermentation, the cellar master will categorize the wine as Oloroso, which requires additional fortification to 20% alcohol. After aging in barrel for a minimum of eight years, the cellar master will add a small amount of Moscatel, which adds softness and sweetness.
